Notes:Teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will be running a combination of left- and right-side tires that is different than those in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Talladega this weekend . . . Sprint Cup teams will run the same combination they ran at this track earlier this season . . . Talladega is the only track at which Cup teams will run these particular tire codes . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one-mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Talladega . . . air pressure in those inner lines should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Testing update: Goodyear will hold the second of two scheduled tests at Indianapolis Motor Speedway next Monday-Wednesday (Oct. 6-8) . . . this is a follow-up to an initial test at IMS, held with the No. 45 Petty Enterprises Dodge with Kyle Petty on Sept. 22-23 . . . teams scheduled to participate in next week's test include the No. 07, 1, 5, 9, 11, 17, 20, 29, 38, 41, 44, 45 . . . other tire tests scheduled in 2008 include Homestead (Oct. 14) and Las Vegas (Dec. 10-11).
