Barton Wins FASTRAK Northeast Race At Dog Hollow
STRONGSTOWN, Penn. (Sept. 8, 2008) – Dick Barton won the FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series race at Dog Hollow Speedway and used the win to make the championship chase closer.
Barton, a veteran dirt track racer, grabbed the lead three laps into the 25-lap chase around the 4/10-mile, semi-banked dirt oval and never trailed again.
Dennis Lunger Jr. finished second. Carl McKinney, John Lacki and Rusty Moore rounded out the top five finishers.
Max Blair, who finished 22nd at Dog Hollow, still leads the title hunt, but Barton is second and his win narrowed the difference to only 19 points.
